Miracle Harvest

The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt, but do as I tell you. Live here as a foreigner in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. I hereby confirm that I will give all these lands to you and your descendants, just as I solemnly promised Abraham your father. Genesis 26:2-3.

When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. Genesis 26:12

I get the most amazing privilege to be part of an incredible prayer group that meets weekly. These dynamic men and women are powerful worshipers and prayer warriors. During a recent meeting a Pastor’s wife shared about a very hard famine she and her husband were going through at their church. They prayed, believing, giving, standing in faith and obedience to God. She said AS they were in the middle of their most difficult famine, The Lord met their need and paid their church building off in FULL. Hallelujah! You might as well know that there is no famine great enough to stop God’s blessing on your life!!! We celebrated God’s Faithfulness to them!

What if obedience to God is “seed” planted for a Miracle Harvest? God said he would bless Isaac because of Abraham’s obedience in Genesis 26:5 I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions." Abraham was made righteous simply by “believing” God. Abraham’s faith produced obedience. James 2:20-22 Our righteousness is found through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

Luke 10:27 says “You must love The Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your strength, and all of your mind. And love your neighbor as yourself. Obedience to the greatest commandment to love God and love people can produce Miracle Harvest! Even in a famine!

Isaac planted his crops that year, obeyed and stayed in the land and trusted God. Could obedience possibly be the most significant “seed” we plant? The Bible says “to obey is better than sacrifice.” 1Samuel 15:22

Many of us take time to fast, especially at the beginning of a new year, myself included, and I’m sure there is much fasting still going on right now. What an incredible way to start our year off right. But as great the sacrifice of fasting our bodies, God says “obedience” is better than sacrifice.

Isaac obeyed God, living as a foreigner in that land and did not go down to Egypt. Isaac received a Miracle Harvest. There is blessing in obedience, Isaac stayed and obeyed even in a famine, and God blessed and prospered him greatly, he harvested A HUNDRED TIMES MORE GRAIN THAN HE EVEN PLANTED. How awesome is that?!!

Thank you for Your Great Faithfulness to me and I give You all the praise, honor, and glory, In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!
